Talking about snoring often leads to jokes and ridicule and can be a source of embarrassment, but this is no laughing matter. Snoring without Sleep Apnoea leads to poor quality sleep for the partners and this can affect concentration, cause fatigue and irritability. All these factors contribute to a poorer quality of life. There is also some research now emerging that snoring may also affect the snorer themselves with poor quality sleep causing sleepiness and some health risks, although this evidence is not as clear cut as the effects of Sleep Apnoea.
